The building project comprises the new construction of the flood protection in the area of the inner harbor/Schaartor.
A new sheet pile wall was installed on the waterside in front of the existing river walls.
The wall is back-anchored by injection piles.
A superstructure is arranged at the top of the wall.
The project is divided into 4 structures. Structures 1 to 3 are partly beneath the two existing bridges called Niederbaumbrücken.
Structure 0 has a length of 58.0 m. The reinforced concrete superstructure is approx. 18.00 m wide and rests on a deep bore pile foundation.
The superstructure consists of two levels connected by a staircase. Between the two levels there are utility rooms and a chamber serving as a ‘parking place’ for the adjacent flood protection gate.
The technical processing we carried out included the object and support structure planning for structure 0.
